Beatrice of Ornacieu, blessed. Nun of the Charterhouse of Parmènice, she was one of the founders of the convent of Esmue. She died on November 25, 1309. For many years she had significant mystic experiences and also suffered diabolic persecutions on her body and therefore she is portrayed with a nail in her hand. Her cult was confirmed in 1869 by Blessed Pius IX.
